I'm switching out my motherboard, have a Cooler 212+ installed

can't seem to remove the backplate/screws for some reason. tried to turn one off, seems to have removed some of the coating on the mobo :'(

haven't attempted the other 3 yet

EDIT: after smoothing out the raised resin with my finger, it looks okay(i.e. no copper traces were exposed/broken)

EDIT2: apparently for the 212+ screw, the bottom of the screw has some adhesive (prolly easier when mounting the backplate). with heat = somewhat melt = bad sticky mess

I managed to install one of these with no problems.

The main concern was getting the assembly to mount square. What I had to do was tighten the screws a little at a time on each one and rotate around until they were all snug. If you tighten one all the way before you get the others, it will make it cocked and harder to tighten. Sorta like how you tighten lug nuts on a tire.
