How do you undervot a 80mm fan

what is the voltage you are looking for you have 5volt as well as 12 right in the case already..

otherwise just get a cheap fan controller...

Basically, I have some 80mm fans that are around 30db.
I've used up all my panaflos and want to undervolt the existing fans to that I can use them quietly.

All the fans have 4 pin molex connectors.

lol... the point is that I don't want to spend any extra money.

Can some one lead me to a site or teach me directly HOW to undervolt the fans WITHOUT buying a fanmate?

yea cut the wires on the molex plug that is yellow and connect to the red one insted that will givc you either 5 or 7 volts.. don't rember.. but I know that the yellow is 12v. that should quite them down quite a bit..

The cheapest way to do it can be found here, but be careful only to run low-wattage fans on 7v and nothing else or you could blow your gear, your PSU, or both. Read that stuff *very* carefully before you try rewiring things.
