I hate the text options that pop up whenever you want to type in a field. Worse, I'm at work and I don't want people seeing everything I type (not that I'm doing anything I'll get in trouble for!) ;)

How do you turn that "auto-text" (or whatever it's called) off?

If I had the right key word, I could find it in Windows XP Help. Auto-text isn't it.

Your talking about on internet explorer right? Go to internet explorer internet options, content tab, auto complete button and manipulate functions as you wish.

No, the auto-text will fill in the blanks in just about any application.

Press "a" in a field and it'll show everything you ever put in there starting with the letter "a"
