**How do you turn a PSU on without using a motherboard/pc?**

Im such a noob I cant belive I forgot this, which 2 wires do you conenct to start up the power supply without actually having it sitting in a computer?

I know its one of the ground wires with another wire, was it green?

please help me out fellas

Connect the green wires. ( some PSUs require a load to start though)

ahh thank you for the smart ass reply instead of helping me BUT I tried the follow search and it gave me a ZERO return so Im guessing the search feature is not working:

PSU test
EVERY search yielded me the following reply

I just got a water cooler and they ask that you turn the power supply on to prime the system. Theres a jumper you run between 2 wires to get the thing going.

Its the green and one of the black wires. It'll turn on but some PSU needs a load to stay on. In this case, connect one of the case fans.
