How do you think, in pictures or words?

How do you normally think?

  • I think exclusively or almost exclusively in pictures.

  • I think mostly in pictures, but I think in words often too.

I personally think almost exclusively in words, but apparently many people in pictures. So how do normally think, words, pictures, or something else.

I think in a third person narrative.

"He stops, considering the pale, quivering globes. He cupped one in his hand. It's texture was like the smoothest silk. Never had he thought he would be here..."

Odd, but still words.

I think in Sepia tones and monaural sound, and with a running narrative describing the events.

The images are usually shot in 16mm.

I usually model/visualize things in thoughts, not use words. Or, I model/visualize scales or numbers when doing maths. It is difficult when working in more than 3 dimensions, but not impossible :)

The mind is neither words nor pictures. Those are just expressions, each useful to their own purpose.

I'm calling BS. Based on your posting history, I don't believe you think at all.

In feelings.

Whoa!

Good to see you!

I personally process things in a mashup and that often gets me in trouble. :D

I lose people at times by processing things in a way that leads to consideration of other perspectives and draw certain conclusions before I realize any intermediate steps. I've moved on to the consequences and started working on them and open my mouth to get a what the heck look :D

I also do my best work in my sleep.
