How do you tell (on the box) if an x800Pro is a VIVO (and possible flashable to XT)?

Is there a way to tell on the box and is there a certain batch of Serial Numbers that are good ones? I looked in the other thread but did not find specifics... Thanks!

I am going to look at BB, CC and CompUSA....

Large X800Pro VIVO to X800XT PE thread at OCForums

I believe Powercolor VIVO and Sapphire VIVO are good candidates. If the box has a window, look at the memory chips. You want them ALL to say GC16 (meaning 1.6ns memory).

There are some cards that have 2.0ns memory and some people even report a mix of 1.6/2.0 If you're going to do this, make sure you back up your original card BIOS before starting in case the flash doesn't work and you have to set it back to original defaults.

And it wouldn't hurt to read through the thread I linked to OCForums. If you have any questions about the mod, it's probably already been asked by somebody and answered by somebody else.

By looking at the box. you can't. I've opened quite a few built by ATI cards that SAY VIVO on the UPC sticker on the side and some are actually VIVO cards and others are not.

They never say VIVO on the UPC sticker. They say V/VO, which means video out.
