How do you tell between SATA/150 and SATA/300 cables?

I have a few SATA cables, but I have no idea if they're 150 or 300. A few of them have a spring loaded clip that secures it on the jack. The others are just plain plug in types.

really ? i thought all sata cables were the same... i have one with a spring and anothr without which is older

anyone know ?

Serial ATA 150 cords can handle 300 speeds, so there really is no difference as far as that's concerned.

Whether or not they make new cords, I don't know. At any rate, it doesn't matter.

look for the clamps... new cables (Except for really cheap one) have a little clicky thing on each side that clicks in and locks to the plug (you have to press it to pull out, like an ethernet cable)...
However, it could also just be a really cheap cable or something... The cables underwent about 5 iterations or so already and they are all compatible with both SATA1 and 2.
