I made a tuna casserole tonight and man, does it stink...Don't get me wrong. I like fish and all but you can't smell/taste any of the other ingredients with the fish this powerful! Any of you cook types got a quick fix for this?

<< Lemon >>

Ooh, good idea. I'm hoping lime will work...we've got insane amounts of lime juice left over from drinking night...

yeah if u marinate in lemon for a short amount of time it will reduce the fishy smell, just dont leave it in there too long or else the acids actually start to cook the fish

most people ues a splash of lemon, or if it is bad ALOT of lemon that will cover up any thing and leave your guests puckering for a week...

<< Anythign with ACID will help, try Coca-Cola.
Use Albacore Tuna next time.

:) I would have preferred using Albacore tuna but it's Sunday, in the middle of finals and no one wants to go to the grocery store...basically, what's in it is the stuff in cans we never eat :)

Well folks...problem solved. I put in *loads* of lime juice to take away the fishy smell...it was then a little too sweet so I put a bit of vinegar in...Then, to cover everything up, I put in a little red and black pepper

Thanks for all the suggestions :)
