My computer room is the 4th bedroom of the house. It is all mine including a big walk-in closet. I built shelves in there and one wall is arrayed with a couple of dozen cables of all sorts hanging. Once in a while I clean out the really old stuff. 🙂

haha, I clicked on this thread (along with several others opening in new windows) and forgot what the topic was, and I read your post and was like "wtf?" then I laughed, and realized the name of this thread 😉

Get a mini-storage space about hafway between your house and the landfill. Once a year take everything that has been in storage for at least six months, the rest of the way to the dump. This makes space for the next generation of junk. Around here there is a feature at the garbage transfer stations called a country store which is an open roofed over area to put your "good junk" for some one else to pick through. The problem here is that you usually go home with more stuff than you brought. There is an endless supply of wagons with three wheels, burned out coffee makers, dented pots and pans, and sofas with the springs poking out.
