I have a CD rack in my room, but it's pure crap (it leans over to one side). I have over 191 CDs on this stand at the moment, so I need something fairly large to hold them. What does everyone here do?

Any great storage solutions?

1) Rip CDs to computer.

2) Put CDs in box stored in closet.

3) ?????

4) Profit.

I built my own rack out of red oak. CD books are definately the way to go though.

i use cardboard boxes

when i get time (yeah, like that will happen before 2012) , i need to get all mine in one place, catalog and rip them and then figure out what to do. i'll probably just sell them.

Well, I like having the jewel cases around (for liner notes, etc). Plus, that's how I listen to music in my car (I carry out a jewel case or two each day, and listen to whatever I carried out for that day).

music goes on the HD and to CDR/DVDR (mp3 for home and car)
Silver CD's go to the bookshelf on a spindle
Cases/liner notes go into a sealed box in the dark depths of the attic.

yeah, I keep the CDs and their respective books in my cd wallet thing that holds 256 cds. The jewel cases I toss or put in a box somewhere. I have 3 cd wallets. One for my cds, one for my PC cds, and one for my dvd collection. It works well for me
