How do you store your burned cds/dvds?

Meh. I just use the spindles they came on and separate them into categories; games, movies, driver CDs, etc. But my DVDs I keep in a 200 count zip bundle. Prolly gonna have to get a new one soon, though.

in the 300 hundred cd holder case for 10.99 i found on hot deals
still some other crap on spindles around my room

EDIT: 288-Disk CD Cases for $9.95
that was the deal, back in september
i bought two and gave one away for an xmas gift

i usually just have them on the spindles but i want it to be a little more organized this time. there are too many random discs all over my room.

Data CDs - Spindles
Music/Movies - Slim Jewel Cases

I have a couple of 200+ cd folders that I might move some of my more popular discs into. Whenever I decide to get more organized.

Probably around 500+ slimline jewel cases, all bought when they're FAR at Officemax.

How do you label them for easy searching? I started using slim jewel cases but found it really hard to find what I wanted, there's no spine on the case.

that's the problem i have with jewel cases too. so i bought 100 of the octipac ($25 shipped) and planning to buy a 100-200 disc holder just in case I need to lug my collection somewhere.

How is the Octipac going to help you find what you're looking for? Aren't they essentially slim jewel cases in a different shape? I know there is something called ThinPak which is basically a slim DVD case that has enough of a spine that you could have an insert that would help identify what you're looking for.

the Octipac ones are going to be used when I only need to carry a few cds around or when friends and family want to borrow dvds. this way they have some way of enclosing them and not just have it laying around.

my 400 cd holder bag thingie from Compgeeks for $10 🙂

is it durable? last time i purchased a caselogic 200 cd holder, the thing fell apart after about a year of use.

I have a Case Logic 256 CD binder thingy and it works great. Very durable too... mine's pleather, with the black pages. Gotta have black pages... the white ones destroy CD's.

How does white destroy them?

Every couple of months I pick up the 100 slim cd cases for free from OM. In fact I just picked one up Sunday. Important data cds are kept in a case, other data cds kept on spindles, and movies are kept in alphabetical order.
