How do you sleep?

To correctly answer this poll, do the following:
-Stand up
-Fall Forward
-Find out which leg came forward first to catch your fall.
-If it was your left leg, you are a left leg person.
-If it was your right leg that came forward first, then you are a right leg person.

This is also known as goofy and regular for snowboarding. I am curious to find out if there is any correlation between which this, and which side you sleep on.

"Goofy foot" is would be right legged, correct?
I fall asleep best on my stomach, but it's hell on my back. 🙁

Being right or left footed has nothing to do with regular vs goofy.

When you ever go to get a board, and you don't know whether or not you are goofy or regular, they will have you fall forward, and the leg that comes forward is the determinant on if you are goofy or regular.

EDIT:
You need to learn to ride both, btw.

Yes, but when you start you usually have a dominant side.

I used the right leg, but I could have used the left, FWIW.

I used to sleep on my stomach when I was a kid, but now I sleep every which way. Change positions during the night (I sleep at night). I seldom sleep on my back, but do sometimes. The end.

So then why do I put my left foot forward?

And I am very strongly right footed. And I ride regular and have for 20+ years.

If somebody is just starting then nonsense to falling forward, etc. One way will feel more natural than the other.

Well, I'm not sure what to tell ya then. It works for the majority of boarders. The fool proof way to tell it to just get a feel for both, but with falling forward, it almost always works.

What does it mean if neither leg came out and you smashed your head on the floor?

Then just say whether you're regular or goofy.

I think a better way is for you to slide across the hardwood floor. WHich foot is in front? Or hav esomeone shove you unexpectedly. Which foot catches ur fall first?
