How about Ebay? Not so much to purchase, but to get an idea of what the car is really selling for, not just the asking price.

I got REALLY lucky on Craigslist earlier this year on a Lexus. Ebay can be OK but you have to make sure to go see the car before you bid ... which can be a pain. At least with Craigslist you usually deal locally.

plenty of limited 5 speeds.. 05's are more common but they can be had for sub $20k and 50k miles

It's easy. You just look on Craigslist for the ad I've placed for my GTO, call me, and buy my car. 🙂

Autotrader - Learn to use the advanced features (specify color, year, mileage, transmission) and then do a nationwide search.

If you are dead set on a specific car than its worth your time to fly out and drive it back.

I bought my car this way and it all worked out fine.

T2urtle - I'm on there already. I want an 06 or 07 unfortunately. 06+ have better safety ratings. 07 have folding rear seats & MP3.

Sorry to hear that. I've seen a lot of posts where people kill these cars in the rain while getting on or getting off the highway. Mine has never seen the rain.
