How do you share IPs between Macs and PCs???

Hi,

I have a dilemma. I have two PCs and one Mac that I need to network together so that they can share my adsl connection. I've been reading up on the net about this and it seems that normally this wouldn't be too much of a problem because I could use something like DAVE to make the Mac act like a PC in the network BUT...I have not been able to find any information about networking three computers to share TWO dynamic IPs. I am totally clueless about networking. Currently, my two PCs are networked together (someone else put the network together for me) and the adsl is working wonderfully on both. I just need to figure out how to get the mac to share one of the ips.

you may be better off putting the 2 PCs on one IP, and the mac on its own.

sharing 2 DYNAMIC IPs... man, that is beyond my knowledge...

how the hell did you get to dynamic IPs?

couple things you can do:

first, you can set up proxy on one of your PCs and share it with either another PC or Mac, doesn't really matter.

second, much simpler solution. Connect your DSL modem to a small hub or switch, and conect all your three computers to that hub.

Get a router (Linksys 4port Cable/DSL router is good) And get rid of one of the dynamic IPs... connect the modem to the uplink on the router and connect each computer to the router ports. It will work... AFAIK Tcp/ip will work fine on yer Mac.
