Hello all. Usually when I need to patch something up I just do a half assed job and then just do a blood knot at the end, and it holds fairly well. What I need to fix now though was a very nice blanket that was originally a wedding present from my Grandmother to my Mother, so I really want to don't want to do a hack job on it. Unfornately, google is NOT helping at all with this. Anyone know a good place to look to learn how to sew enough to basically fix a rip?

If this is something important try and find someone to do it. I ruined several pieces of cloth when my mother tried to teach me to sew.

Just a bump from another guy who would like to know. Unlike Chu I would be happy with a fairly ugly stitch. I have a hole in my pants pocket and now I have to carry my change in the wrong side or else I will leave a trail wherever I go!
