I have an AIW 8500 but have no idea how to connect two CRT's. I have heard of people doing it but can't find a splitter for a monitor cable. I initially thought I had to buy a PCI card and was going to get a cheap GeForce 2 card but was told I was wrong and that the drivers would conflict. Help.

If your card has two outputs (one HD-15 and one DVI-I, say) then you can run two monitors. Connect an adapter to the DVI-I and it will drive a regular analog monitor.

You won't find a cable to split one analog output into two.

You can't, all AIW cards are dual display "single head" cards, 1 CRT OR DFP plus 1 TV or VCR. I used to use a V3 2000 PCI as a secondary card for dual display, it worked very well using winXP.

Beware there are(were) issues which may have been cleared up (its been well over a year)

Off the top of my head I remember, Video input would not work with the secondary card enabled, I'd just disable the V3 card when capturing or watching TV.

Well thats no good. I use the TV all the time. Doesn't disabling the PCI card require restart? I assume it does. I'll try it out anyway. Thanks.

No, you can disable the display or switch it to be the primary adaptor in the display properties, its not that big a hassle really. Just couldn't use dual monitors and watch TV or capture video at the same time.
