my friend is trying to get me cable from my bro with a linksys hub

but he cant do it he says that they are harder than a router

what should i do?

and whats better for that hub,router,or switch

You're trying to hook into a cable modem via a hub for an internet connection? Yes? If so you're probably going to need some type of software (like ICS in Win98SSE), or some type of device to share the connection (Cable/DSL gateway device (okay, router)).

Umm, harder in what sense? Because you need something to share the connection? I mean a hub is plug in wires, that's it. There's nothing to configure on the hub itself.
