how do you set up a LDAP server in Outlook to import email contacts?

i'm trying to figure how to do this. the help in outlook 2003 says this:

Internet directory services are used to find e-mail addresses that are not in a local address book or a corporate-wide directory such as the Global Address List. An Internet connection is required to view an LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP): A protocol that provides access to Internet Directories.) address book unless the LDAP directory is part of your organization's network.

but it doesn't tell you how to set it up and i cant find it in any of the menus.

im not sure if this post belongs in the operating system sections but if it doesnt i apologize

i appreciate the help

This is really a software question, but that's ok 🙂

If you go under Tools / Email Accounts, you should see an option to "Add a new directory or address book". Click that option and follow the wizard's steps.
