How do you send a gift via Amazon to somebody?

Do they charge you extra? I know how to ship to another address, but how do you do it where the person doesn't see the receipt. Is there a way to do it where I get the receipt and the person just gets the item?

you can have a packaged gift wrapped i know, but im not sure if they have more options as far as you're concerned however

I've used it a couple times, AFAIK they did not receive the receipt.

I'm sure Amazon's customer service could tell you for sure though.

I did it gift wrapped, but I don't believe you have to use gift wrapping to ID the order as a gift...

IIRC the gift wrapping was an optional service that appeared after marking the item(s) as a gift.
