How do you say EVGA?

I think I've been saying it wrong my entire life. I say it "ehvgah" with a short e. Some people say it ee-vee-gee-aye.
My life is a lie.

LOL. Well done. Before entering the thread, I thought in my mind, "How could he be saying it? Could it be Evguh?" And then I read, and laughed quite decently, so thanks.

I never tried to pronounce "VGA" (Video Graphics Array) phonetically, so I just say "vee gee ay."

"VGA" is almost synonymous with "graphics card" -- so I always assumed that's why they call themselves "EVGA." It never occurred to me that anyone would say it any other way than "Eee Vee Gee Ay."

No one called VGA graphics "Veeguh" so why would they pronounce EVGA any way other than E, V, G, A?

You'll want to sit down before you hear this:

Because OP wasn't even a gamete when VGA was still the standard. He only knows a world with DVI (just barely), and essentially HDMI and display port.

So is it allowed in ATOT to just join threads and call the OP a tard/moron/idiot? I guess I just found a new way to waste my free time! That is if I want to deal with the silly shit that's now allowed on ATOT.

Don't mind RichUK. He seems to be on a bit of a vision quest these days, turning his troll meter up to 11 and feasting on the results.

Beware Pedo Bandit/Printer Bear.

I thought DVI still fairly common but it turns out that's DSUB and VGA is a resolution standard and has had different kinds of connectors called VGA that are actually just called that for no reason. Wut.

Either way I'm still stuck in the past. I've got an SXGA monitor that only takes dsub or DVI. Also had a CRT until late 2006 I think. I don't remember that well.
My first PC was a beige box with that beige CRT. It had a PIII that was older than me and a RAGE card I think. The AGP slot died but we bought a geforce 6600 to try and fix it. I still have all that in a box somewhere. No case, PSU, or HDD though.

Just as I say VGA (pronounce each letter),... but add an E in the beginning.

I would certainly not say; eve-gah in place of EVGA.

:'(

I thought ATOT agreed there were no girls on the internet.

Just like the rest of the English-speaking world agreed that questions end with question marks?

Just kidding. You're 15. Just trying to catch that while you're still young. 😉

Anyway, we do agree that there are no girls on the Internet, but sometimes we have to simplify because "dudes masquerading as chicks online" is often a mouth-full. That's what we mean any time we reference an online "female."

The rest of the English-speaking world recognizes "I thought ATOT agreed there were no girls on the internet" is not a question.
