How do you save the free games for the ATI cards?

I was looking around in my PC. Is it the SteamApps folder I need to save?
I should I re-install that if I do save it?

By the way, does anyone know how to get passed the door in Half-Life 2? I got passed some dudes who tried to shock me then a dude who said he was working undercover then I walked in a room and jumped out the window. Well, I can't get through the door. I can only see a barrel and two bricks. What am I supposed to do?

In Steam, right-click each game you want to save and go to 'Backup game files' or something like that. It will walk you through saving the current game files, so you can have them broken up into CD (700mb), DVD (~4.2gb), etc sized files. One of them is a self extracting executable. Very quick and easy to do.
