Fish tape and or the fiberglass fish sticks. It's not that bad. When we bought our house I had to run speaker wire for four speakers that came out where the wall and vaulted ceiling meet. I then had to take it all the way down the wall where it met the receiver. I also ran cat 5 from the living room to where the router in my office was. It wasn't bad at all, just watch where you step! ( I put about a foot size hole in my parents ceiling a couple years ago, missed the cross beam, good times) Take your time and just do it, not hard at all.

It's a lot easier and cheaper to bulldoze the house and start over.

My 2 cents
I have run coax though heating air return lines. It takes a little creativity and some sealent but it beats 10 foot drills. One time I attached a golfball to fishing line put my daughter in the basement and told her to listen where it comes through. Worked like a charm. Pulled the cable 2 stories with the fishing line. Just built a new house had cat 5 rune where I wanted it and it was cheap to do. This contracter was cheaper then I was 10 years ago.
