How do you restore left bar navigation?

Not sure when or why, but I just lost left bar navigation for all windows which previously let me go right to control panel, net work places, help, etc. I can't for the life of me figure out where I have to go to enable this and I've spent the last 30 minutes hunting. =/
 
Thanks, I suppose I had a blonde moment and totally didn't read that first one when going through that.
