Somehow, I managed to set Windows so that whenever I double-click on a folder, it opens up the search function rather than opening up the folder. When I right click on a folder it looks like this:

Where the search function (which is now in bold) is set as the default action to take. Does anyone know how to reset to the open function? Thanks.
