boy, if anybody knows how to do this, that'd be great, because I'm totally annoyed by them too. it's like, ok, i've played the game a thousand times now, i got the images of the splashscreens permanently recorded in my brain, i really don't need to physically see them yet one more time, wasting precious seconds that I could be instead actually already playing the game!

alternatively, you could add +restart 1 at the end of the shortcut that starts bf1942 and they magically disappear.

Could you elaborate a little bit on how to do this? I tried it a couple of different ways and couldn't get it to work.

Thanks.

In your shortcut properties, the "Target" box should look like this, assuming that you use the default path:

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe" +restart 1
