how do you remove stock fan on evga 8800 gt

I bought the Zalman vf900 for my EVGA 8800 gt and I need to remove the stock fan. Is there any trick to it or do I just remove all the screws I can see on the reverse side of the card?
 
I would assume, like many other HSFs on other cards, that you simply unscrew all the screws on the PCB and take off the HSF carefully and disconnect the power connector. It may feel stuck on place, that would be due to the thermal compound as well.
