how do you remove a hidden NIC driver in win2k?

I have moved the NIC several times so they've been in about 3 diff pci slots. Everytime I move it, win2k reloads new drivers and names them "linksys #1" "linksys #2", and so on. How do I remove the ones that aren't being used (numbers 1 and 2)? Since IP addresses were assigned to those, I'm having IP conflicts.

Go into device manager, click view and select Show hidden devices.

Does that work?

No. I only see NIC #3. When I goto Control Panel > Admin Tools > Computer Management > System Info > Hardware > Components > Network > Adaptors, I see the other 2.

Been having the same problem. Couldn't figure out a way to "kill" it permanently, so I just disabled it and deleted all of the device driver files for that NIC (I removed the old NIC from slot #2, and put a different brand NIC into #3, a bit different from your scenario).
