How do you release and unbind the DHCP and the MAC address for Verizon DSL on a Mac?

I'm currently setting up a simple network with a Linksys router. The network has been using an Airport for the internet for some time and after calling Verizon DSL, we found out that they lock their DHCP to a MAC address. So now we need to release it manually. Any suggestions?

Does the router support MAC cloning? That might be easier.

Sorry I can't help you release the DHCP. Do you know how long the lease time is?

The linksys will let you set the same MAC address. Get the MAC from the device currently connected to the DSL modem and write it down.
plug a computer into the linksys and go to the configuration page. Depending on your specific model, it may be under the setup tab labeled 'MAC address clone'.
Type the MAC addy in to the WAN MAC space, and check the box 'enable'.
Reboot both the modem and router. You should now be good to go!
