The software that came with my player, SonicStage, sucks. I recorded a full disc without problems, and two songs from the next went fine as well. The 3rd paused, then showed an error saying "failed to exchange encryption key" and stalled. I started over, and it wrote the 3rd song, but did the same thing with the 4th. Restarted again, it wrote one song and stalled once more. I need better software!
