  • I am OK with them.

  • I hate it when someone spoils something,.. oh well.

  • I hate it when someone spoils something,.. and I get REALLY pissed off.

Sucks but whatever. I spent most of my life not going to movie theaters and waiting for things to show up on TV.

I hate when it happens but I don't really get pissed at it. I think it's fair game if it's been a while since something aired but what does piss of off is spoilers about something that's not even out yet. At least freaking wait till it's out.

I tend to just avoid any conversations on something I did not watch yet though. Like I never look at threads about any series that I did not finish. If people at work are talking about a series I'm not caught up with I try to zone it out, even if I catch some of it I wont have enough context and I'll probably forget by the time I get to it.

I'm fine with movies. That's a 2 hour emotional investment that I don't even have to pursue if the spoiler was damning enough.

What gets me are things like the American Ninja Warrior one yesterday morning where I've watched something over the course of months and have developed "favorites" in the contestants and enjoy seeing some succeed and hope they do well. Plus since it's on TV I make use of the Tivo and catch up on it the next day. Same thing for other TV shows that have similar sort of reveals or twists that you have a long investment in. GoT is different since it originated from a book and most *major* plots are already well known to the readers.

Most of the time those things are contained in threads or vague enough to avoid the topic. But just vomiting results in a thread title is not cool.

Yeah title spoilers on yahoo news, make me want to hulk smash my computer screen.

GoT for example, I do not read the books. For some reason, the world is obsessed with GoT now that Jon Snow is (apparently.. sigh) dead. Just saw an article this morning that was like, "Well, Kit Harrington has basically confirmed Jon Snow is back for Season 6" and another like, "Jon Snow leaves Night's Watch once he returns from the dead!".

I mean... Come on, seriously? It's one thing to write an article with spoilers and other details in it that basically ruin the surprise... but having it right in the title is horse sh!t. Just like the Ninja Warrior spoiler.

Personally I rage and get people banned from threads then go into a thread for spoilers and taunt them about it.
