I know how to do it on Rage3D (example:

Press the Quote link next to the Reply link.
 
Click on the quote button and their post should appear as a quote in your reply box.

Or you could use [ q ] [ /q ] to quote.

If you don't want to use the quote button, you can put that part in yourself.

You just type [ q ],(without the space), Originally posted by: ScrewFace, then the text you are quoting, and finally [ /q ].
