how do YOU put up/move posters?

it's a huge pain whenever I have to move because I have a ton of posters and they're all stuck down to the wall with double-sided tape. when I pull them off, they usually pull off some wall paint too and then the tape gets covered with dirt and sticks to the poster and rips it.

is there a better way? I was thinking maybe I could hang them from one point somehow and avoid using tape all together...
any ideas?

I use thumbtacks. Could try framing them too if you want to keep them in good condition. IIRC, cheap plastic poster frames aren't very expensive.

yeah but those usually tear out the edges if you stretch it nice and taught on the wall

Yup, safest mounting material. It stays up longer than tape, too. Just make sure the wall is clean and a bit smooth...

As long as the poster is a normal size, I just buy cheap plastic poster frames. As a plus, it looks better on the wall too.

really nobody hangs them? I thought that was a pretty good idea. like you could put a narrow wooden dowel on the back at the top and then hang it from a fishing line or something

i've had bluetac soak through the poster material and leave oily spots. Maybe it's just me. I personally use foam tape

I used bluetac but its stuck to my walls.. I am afraid its going to take the paint off. is there something that makes it come off easier?

Actually it looks like this, but flat on top.

Hang one on the bottom and one on top. Run a peice of string, fish line, etc. through the top peice to hang it.

those are good. they hold up my pictures nicely.

bluetac/whitetac can often leave residue on walls. i don't recommend them.
