I'm sure someone will tell me to go read some manual somewhere, but believe it or not, I've searched tutorials on the web, and just can't find this bit of information. So, can someone tell me how to put sound into a flash animation (using the regular MacromediaMX program)?

Also, if you have the chance, can someone explain to me how to put images from your hard drive into an animation and work with them? I know you have to convert them somehow, but I don't know how or to what.

Thanks y'all.

RTFM?

reading the manual is a bit different then scouring tutorials. The manual has all the basic stuff which tutorials aren't going to bother with because they assume you RTFM!!!!!

I did RTFM and it didn't say anything about sounds. I guess it's not so 'basic'. Scoured tutorials, couldn't find it there either.

Uhhh, import the sound and put it on its own layer. I've never used MX but Im pretty good at Flash5. For images, just import them into the library and convert them to the symbol u need - either graphic, button, movie etc (insert/convert to symbol/choose your symbol). Hope that helps ya for MX.

Is there some technical reason that every flash website I go to has really loud sound and is overly bassy compared to everything else?
