How do you pronounce 'Ximian' (Ximian GNOME)?

I would guess "Zimian", replacing the "X" with a "Z"..

No I'm really not interested, I've heard it before :D I look at it this way, linux is a derrivative of his name right? In Finland you'd pronounce his name leenoose or something like that, hence the way he says linux. Personally when I say his name I say lie-nucks because I'm in the states, thats why I think the proper pronunciation here varies from what he may call it....to each his own ;)

Naw.. ONly the leading &quot;X&quot; is pronounced as a &quot;Z&quot;.. Like &quot;Zeerocks&quot;

From the Greek 'xeros', meaning 'dry'.
That's why Xerox was so named, because it was a dry process, unlike its &quot;Verifax&quot; like predecessors.
