How do you pronounce TROX

I pronounce it "stupid little star-shaped POS bolt that will get rounded out after .2 seconds of trying to remove it. If it does start to come out, the goddamned POS bit will end up twisting to the point of being a stand in for a barber shop pole."

That only happens if you use the wrong size. The only place I've ever had a torx strip w/ the right size is a hard drive where they glued the screws in.

I've had several large torx strip out when removing rusty bolts from seatbelt anchor points.

Happens all the time to me with the correct Torx bolts. The Windshield torx put in Wranglers is especially difficult because it has been painted over.

Ahh, when that happens damned near everything strips. They probably aren't using hard enough metal since they don't intend for them to ever be removed. (by thier mechanics)

The only ones I have never stripped have been the hardened ones that are used as anchors for seatbelts.

Maybe with dinky little hard drives they're not a problem, but try removing rusted Torx bolts from a crank pulley on a late 80's Chrysler and you'll learn to hate them quickly :p
