How do you pronounce "theater"?

This definitely seems to be a region thing, kinda like pop and soda.

The-ay-ter is the predominant pronunciation around here. Of coure hardly anyone says theater at all anymore as most people get more specific, such as "are you going to the play?" or "let's go to the movies".
