How do you pronounce the surnames Ng and Nguyen?

damn hard to pronounce names...

esp. Ng - it doesn't even have a freakin vowel in it.

Say the letter "N" then "G" and that's how you pronounce Ng (one of my childhood friends had taht last name, and that's how he pronounced it, but hey :confused: )

now how did you get "win" out of Nguyen? and why did they drop the 'I' or 'E' in Ng? :confused:

Ng looks more like 'awesome dude' to me.

my girlfriend is a NG, and the way its pronouced is sorta like "nmmm", and for the person that just says "n""g" , i feel sorry for him since hes can't even pronounce his own lasst name.

I know a guy with the last name Ng. It's pronounced "Ing".

That said, I don't get why he doesn't just write it "Ing".

Maybe cause that's not the way his name is spelled?

I guess if your name is Lemuel you should write it Lem-you-will, to make it easier on others, eh?

Because Huynh and Nguyen are actually the same Vietnamese lastname, but different spelling.

Nguyen varies depending on where they're from...I think my friend pronounced it Nuen (think French accent...)
