I don't want to look like a noob in front of an audience

Is it pronounced like sauce or sass (as in sassy) or something else?

Sass (as in sassy). Not sure where you would ever get "sauce" from unless it's a local accent that makes the two sound the same anyway.

I would probably never say SaaS in a formal presentation since it's an awkward acronym, if you're speaking just say Software as a Service. Calling it SaaS is what i'd do around coworkers/friends though.

+1 for SaaS being spoken as "Sass" as in "sassy". I wouldn't have a problem with using it in a presentation, as long as you first 'define' it as 'Software as a Service'.

What is wrong with "service software?"

sass as in sassy. I've heard people say "saas" in a conference, but Savatar is right, most would actually say "Software as a Service", at least the first time in a presentation.

Don't get sassy with me! We need more SAS drives to power our SAAS!
