i've heard people say powned though.

What's the correct way of pronouncing it?

How do you get a word that closely resembles slang for a ladies parts, from a word that is derived from "Owned".

I have a friend who says that, and its kind of funny.

Always saying "Poon'd!" I picture someone getting their head sat on by a woman.

I say it just like I would read it..

Pwned.

Owned with a bit of a "P" sound.

i don't pronounce it and never plan on doing it.

it is for typing only, and people who try to pronounce it are uber geeky.

Hahaha, you should say it as "owned."

That is what the word is, just because it is misspelled does not mean you should change the pronunciation.

People who use the word "pwned" are utterly geeky. Of all the forums/message boards that I am a regular at, this is the ONLY one that uses this phrase constantly. Pwned is so 1996 people, get with the times. It's not 'cool' to use 'pwned'. Just makes you look like you're a retard that can't spell.

I was actually using the word for its conceived definition. I wasn't directly calling you a noob. :)

What I mean is people who sit in servers and call everyone "n00bs" because they keep getting owned by headshots, are usually the unexperienced and unskilled players themselves. Kinda like that flash video of the CS guy looking for cheats and getting a virus.
