Pres-kit or Pres-kot?

I've always pronounced it the latter with Intel Prescott yadda yadda but the locals here in Arizona pronounce it with the former?

I lived in Prescott, AZ for a couple of years. They say it like "Pres-cuit" the "cuit" pronounced like the the "cuit" in "circuit".

Don't listen to to locals, we're Americans, and we pronounce things however we feel like. If we can take the name Deutschland and pronounce it Germany, then we can take "Pres-kit" and pronounce it "Press-cot". ;)
