Can't say Nee-san without trying to force a Japanese accent though :p
It kinda ends up being like people sounding pretentious for trying to say Jag-you-are.

Well, Nissan being Japanese, you have to refer to the Japanese way of pronouncing it. They pronounce everything as they are supposed to be pronounced. the double s puts on this weird accent where you almost miss a beat or a slight pause (impossible to explain online). So it goes like ni' san. If I could explain what the ni' sounds like, it's like saying knit without actually pronouncing the t. I hope everyone got that.

The proper pronounciation is nee-san. It's short for Nippon Sangyo, which means "Japan Industries." Datsun was their coachbuilder division, much like Fisher used to be the coachbuilder for GM. In the olden days of the automobile industry, it used to be that one company built the bodies and chassis while another built the engines and drivetrains, the former being called the coachbuilder and the latter the motor company.
