How do you pronounce "invalid"?

I don't think I have ever heard anyone say in-vuh-lid

It's a noun for a person who is handicapped and can not get around on their own or is bedridden. An example: My father had a stroke which left him paralyzed on his left side and bedridden. He was an invalid. (true story).

Edit: Poll should reflect both pronunciations as being correct. 😉
