How do you pronounce ASUS?

So how do you pronounce it?

I went to grad school with a chick who used to work at Asus in Taiwan. She corrected me when I used to call it A-suhs...she said it was pronounced a-soo-use

The proper way - "a-suess." Apparently the name is from "pegasus," so it would make more sense for it to be pronounced "ace-us" or "a-sus" though.

And then when he realized the vast majority of people pronounced it like moose, and that it had the benefit of rhyming with mother goose, he said "truce" and stopped giving a deuce.
 
the way it's supposed to be pronounced (how the company itself pronounces it) is "ay-soos".

i used to say ace-us, but then i discovered i was wrong, so i corrected how i said it thereafter.

by the way, there's like a shitload of threads on this exact topic already...

Next up, ask them to pronounce McDonald's with perfect diction, cause if they don't you get to pour the scorn! BURN!
