How do you post links here with text instead of the URL?

Used to be easy here before they made the change a few weeks ago. I did it once since, IIRC, but can't remember what I did.

How do you display text describing the link instead of the URL and still have the link work in our new forum software?

Click link button (looks like chain link).
Paste address in pop-up* dialog box, http.... and all.
