It's so far above my skill level that I was motivated to get lessons, which is my reccomendation to OP. Lessons from an instructor you like and an hour of practive 4-6 days a week or more.

How did you come to own it, then?

My father owed me a bunch of money, and a Guitar Center employee, who happened to be leaving the company, apparently, owed HIM a bunch of money, so he bartered.

My Dad was a trip.
