So...what console do you play the game on ? I play on the Wii U with a Pro controller.... And I am not sure what all the gripe is about saying the Switch runs smoother. I've never noticed any frame rate issues yet. Im only up to 8 hearts thus far though.

Favorite weapon ?
Favorite shield ?
Favorite recipes ?

I have been going through the game....doing all the Shrines first before anything else. And also hunting for the Korok seeds for extra inventory slots and hearts. Have not dealt much with horses yet, I only have one registered. However...I did purchase all the DLC. Which I havnt started any of yet.

Basically im just looking for tips ...tricks etc. I must add though, I do NOT like using glitches or anything like that. I prefer to play games the way they are meant to be played. Now I sound like Nvidia :O lol

Anywho, please provide your setup...or what you did after starting the game as in shrines and DLC...main quest.

So..how did you play ?

I cast my vote for Wii U.

I played on Switch with a Pro controller. I sort of interspersed the shrines with other things, and will never get all the seeds. I spread that out too, when it seemed like I could really use another slot.

I play on a switch. I started the game at launch and went too far exploring and lost track of any mission objectives. I keep saying i'll restart but I haven't.

Does the Wii U Pro Controller have motion controls? Because a few of the shrines need to use them.

As for the way I played.... mostly I just wandered around the map climbing mountains to be honest. I beat the game but the exploration is the real strong suit of BOTW.

You are playing it after the games been out for 3 years and has had tons and tons of patches many of which improved the performance issues. Of course you aren't going to see the issues that people saw over 3 years ago at launch.

I played it at launch on Switch with Pro Controller in docked mode as well as in handheld mode a bit on a couple of flights. I beat it with probably half of the shrines completed and went back and completed them all afterwards. I used a guide to find probably the last 15 or 20 shrines. There are a handful that I never would have found without a guide, and there are like 1 or 2 that I'm confident NOBODY has found without a guide.

I originally got it on the Wii U and it was horrible at launch. Played it a second and third time on the Switch which was much better. I've used both the Pro controllers handhelds for both systems. Some of the puzzles I believe required the Wii U tablet.

No, the Wii U Pro controller don't have motion control. When that is required...just switch to the tablet controller for motion.

Hmm...that is odd. Playing it again right now, I am at Zoras Domain.....and I just now noticed the "first" frame rate drop since starting. It was the Shrine that is between the Inn and the General Store...with water running down the stairs.

Played it on the Wii U, on the tablet controller. Didn't notice any major performance issues, which is impressive for a CPU derived from the freaking GameCube!

The Wii U had serious framerate issues right from the start when the game launched. That was years ago so maybe they've improved it, but it was horrible.

I bought it two years ago and started it. Using the regular switch controllers. I never got into it because after the initial shrines I had no idea where to go. The story didn't really pull me in any direction either. The world is awesome and it looks like it's a blast to explore.

I recently got back into it though but I had to follow along with Zeldamaster on YouTube. Now I'm enjoying the game much more because it gives me some purpose to play through it.
