How do you permantly get with of spam with Gmail?

It just wont stop!

At school, i clicked all the unsubscribe links (in case they were tricks LOL)

but nothing!

Is there anyway to just stop them!

I don't see the problem. The spam goes into the spam folder which you just empty out once in a while.

Sign up with a new name and walk away from your old gmail address.

And then, be careful who you give the address to.

Heh.. clicking the unsubscribe links just lets them know you're active. They'll probably send you more crap now.

Just click on the check box next to the message and click "report spam" or if you are already reading the message, click the action box that says "this is spam". Give it a few weeks or more and it should start to clear up. Besides, in school you should be studying and not reading email. Now get to work!
