I am currently using TrueCrypt to protect my data on my thumbdrive.

What I'd like to know is if there is a way to keep someone from reformatting my thumbdrive and wiping out my data. As it stands now, my encrypted files can simply be deleted allowing someone to be able to recycle my thumbdrive. I'd rather it be rendered useless to whoever found/stole it. Anysoftware out there that denies someone from re-formatting the thumbdrive or stop them from deleting my encrypted files?

You can't do this in software, the thumbdrive would need to support an actual key to unlock it's ability to write vs a key to encrypt data written to it.

Some devices can do this, but your general run of the mill thumb drive can't...
