i have the latest drivers (71.84) and im trying to play doom3. whenever i play doom it switches to 60Hz refresh rate but my monitor can handle 75Hz at that resolution (1024x768). how do i override it to 75? is there an option or console command in doom?

i seem to remember being able to add refresh rates that normally weren't suppose to be handled by the monitor in the nvidia video properties. you guys might be talking about something different but there's that option in properties

well what would the point be if your monitor cant handle it anyway?

Sounds like it still is built in but not enabled by default. Maybe they can't be certified with or they just don't want to create unnecessary hassle for their customers (i.e. increased support volume) but do want savvy end-users to be able to enable it if they want.
