How do you overclock aT-Bird 900?

Does it have to be unlocked first?
Changing the fsb did't workI have the following PC configuraion:
AMD Thunderbird 900MHz
Asus K7M
Asus 6800V GeForce 256 DDR 32MG
128MB PC100 RAM
Maxtor DiamondMax+ 40
Soundblaster 128 PCI
Sylvania F72 17" Monitor
Conexant 56K modem
Win 98 SE
No additional Hardware

My system has a P3, but here's what I understand about o'clocking the Tbird:

1. You can only get so far by increasing the FSB, maybe to 110-115 MHz (990-1035), which is actually pretty fast!! You may have to bump the voltage to do that.

2. To adjust the CPU multiplier you have to have a motherboard that permits that and then you must have a CPU that has the L1 bridges on the top of the chip intact (i.e., not broken). If these bridges are broken then you can reconnect them carefully with a lead pencil. This will allow the current to flow across the bridge and make the multiplier adjustment possible.

3. On some newer chips AMD is reported to have made the multiplier non-adjustable by removing certain pins from the bottom of the chips. In this case you can only use the FSB adjustment to overclock.
